One year ago, Juanita was found on the side of a road in Puerto Rico, unable to move after being hit by a car. She had multiple fractures in her pelvis and femur, and her damaged tail required amputation.
Thanks to community generosity, she made it through emergency surgery and the long early recovery. Once stable enough, she traveled to Colorado. She was extremely shy at first, but with patience, training, and foster support she has made incredible progress. She loves car rides, treats, and other dogs.
Earlier this year she needed another surgery on her leg. She has been brave through every procedure, but the medical costs have exceeded what our small rescue can cover alone. Your support helps Juanita continue healing and move toward a forever home.
