We are a small but passionate team dedicated to rescuing dogs in need from Puerto Rico and helping them find loving forever homes in Colorado. Overpopulation and lack of resources for stray dogs have become a growing crisis in Puerto Rico. Many dogs are left to fend for themselves, including pregnant mothers and their puppies who have little chance of survival on the streets. With only a handful of rescues on the island—most of which are stretched beyond capacity—the need for action is urgent.
Our mission is to identify dogs in dire circumstances, provide them with the care they need, and transport them from Puerto Rico to Colorado. Once here, we work tirelessly to place them in loving homes. From adorable puppies to loyal adult companions, we have dogs of all sizes and ages ready to become part of your family. Now THIS was a fun one. Jonathan and Jordon have been ready for a dog of their own for a long time. Jonathan applied, and we were able to match him with Serena, one of our sweetest puppies. The catch? We needed an element of surprise! Jordon didn’t know about the application yet.
While we can’t allow our dogs to be adopted as gifts, we could approve the application and then do a meet-and-greet with everyone! Serena, dressed as an elf, got to surprise her new mama, and boy did it go over well!
We did a foster-to-adopt for a few days just to ensure everyone was happy, and were they ever. Serena, now Nova, lucked into a wonderful family of her own. We are so grateful to Jonathan for trusting us to help out with Operation Elf. And hey, if you need spouse lessons — we know a guy!

We are a small, foster-based animal rescue with a very small team, but a huge mission. This year we rescued many puppies who would have been left to survive harsh conditions…just like Tommy.
Little Tommy arrives this month. His mom was tragically hit and killed, and based on her injuries, we believe Tommy may have been struck as well — likely causing the severe damage to his leg. This morning, his leg was successfully amputated, and he is now recovering and being monitored at the vet hospital.
Our adoption fees help us break even on medical care and transport costs. Flights alone can range from $100–$150, so we also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our volunteer Flight Angels who donate their time and travel to safely deliver our rescue pups.
Any amount you are able to give helps us continue this work in the long run. We also have an Amazon Wishlist available in our Linktree if you prefer to donate essential supplies.

Sweet Serena, one of our five month old pups, enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner courtesy of her foster mom. While she loved it, she let us know that what would really hit the spot for her is a forever home.
This girl is perfect. Potty trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, dog friendly, kid friendly and super smart…we can’t say enough positive things about this baby. Help us find her a home for the holidays!
